Leader and Parent Training

Leader and Parent Training

All Cub Scouts deserve a well trained leader!

Registered leaders are required and parents should try to complete: Youth Protection Training, This is Scouting, and Fast Start Training for their specific position.   Any Parent can create an account on my.scouting.org and then watch the short training videos.

Parents
are encouraged to complete: Youth Protection Training and This is Scouting (This will give parents a
better understanding of the Cub Scout Program.).  Create an account and then watch the videos.

Leaders and Parents are encouraged to attend BALOO TRAINING: Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation.

BALOO TRAINING is required for a Pack to go on any camping trip.  It is a great resource to expand your skills in the outdoors.

Please see the attachments below for more information on Leadership Roles.

District Round Table Meetings...Adult Scouters and parents from the Thunderbird District meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00pm in the LDS Church located at 2939 W. Rose Garden Ln Phoenix, AZ.

This video shows one of the training sessions that leaders and parents can participate in.
This is BALOO training (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation).
This goes over the types of planning, activities, cooking and equipment you would need for a campout.
