The pack is in constant need of volunteers to fill open positions.  Please see Cubmaster Jess or any adult leader if you can help.  If you're able to assist, but not run an activity, that's great too! 

All volunteers and parents are encouraged to take Youth Protection Training before participating in events.

WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

1-Time Special Event Coordinators:

 

 

Fall Campout - Location is set, just set up activities, ranger programs, etc.  Tim Foltz

Spring Campout - Same as above.  You won't be alone, the Cubmaster is default assistant on this!  open

Pinewood Derby - If you build it, they will come - additional helpers that is.  Jess Rankin

Blue and Gold Banquet - Annual dinner/party in February.  Megan Killian

Crossover Ceremony -Annual end of school year pot luck and graduation ceremony for Scouts. open

Summer Activities - We don't meet in the summer, but we do have monthly outings.  Any ideas?  Tim Foltz

Den Meeting Special Guest - Teach a skill, lead an outing, etc. 

 

Committee Positions - Perfect if you prefer to work with adults: 

Committee Chair - Voted on by the committee in the spring.  Organizes and runs committee meetings.  Seth Wilson

Assistant Committee Chair - At least one is necessary, the more the better! open

Treasurer - Voted on by the committee in the spring.  Rachel Chartier

Secretary - Takes notes at committee meetings, all-around helpful person. Dave Olson

Pack Trainer - Keeps track of the training completed by each of the leaders.  Brandon Killian

Advancement Chair - An organized person who can keep track of awards, and help get them ready for the pack meeting. Christie Gavagan

Communications Chair - coordinates all messages to the Pack.  Moses Balan

Scout-O-Rama Ticket Sales - 2 weekends.  Brandon Killian

Scout-O-Rama Booth - Pack 531's opportunity to show our fellow Scouts how we git 'er done with fun!  Jess Rankin

Donations Chair - Seek out the $$$!  Brandon Killian

Fundraiser Chair - If we do well with the ??? sales, this is the only fundraiser we'll do.  Active duties run Sept-Dec. Brandon Killian

Red Ribbon Week - Community education project to teach and remind people about drug prevention. open

10 Commandments Hike - Visit different religion churches and synagogues on day after Thanksgiving.  Jess Rankin

Scouting For Food - We help gather food for the homeless and replenish a local food bank.  Jess Rankin

Membership Chair - Gather and send out applications, recharter in early November   open

Public Relations Chair - Set up service projects, guest speakers, etc. open

Outdoor/Outings Chair - Reserve campsites, coordinate activities, etc.  open

Charter Organization Representative - General over see-er of all.  George Chartier

Webmaster - Manages and updates the website.  Jess Rankin (sson to be Moses Balan)

 

1-year positions - great if you enjoy working with kids:

Cubmaster - Voted on by the committee in the spring.  Runs pack meetings, servant to the Pack Leadership. Jess Rankin

Assistant Cubmaster - Whatever the Cubmaster needs....  Dan Gavagan

Tiger Den Leader - Fun group of boys, must be brave though! Jenn Hoppes / Kristy Doss

Wolf Den Leader - The scouts are experienced now, piece of cake.  Brian Lee

Bear Den Leader - The boys are growing fast, enjoy them now!  Justin Crowder

Webelos 1 Den Leader - The final year (or 2) as we prepare for Boy Scouts. Christie Gavagan

Arrow of Light Den Leader - The last 6 months before Boy Scouts.   Brandon Killian

Assistant Den Leader - Every parent is an Assistant Den Leader unless you are the Den Registrar.

Den Registrar (each den has one) - helps make sure members of den have appropriate paperwork in.  open

 *Den Leaders are usually a parent of a scout in that den.  We often need more than one Den Leader per age group.
